Carbon credits advisory

Carbon projects are won or lost on the ground: the land, the landholders, the communities and the paperwork. We do that groundwork in Zambia and across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Who it is for

Two kinds of clients come to us.

  • Project developers, investors and buyers looking for credible nature-based or community carbon projects in Zambia and the wider region, who need people on the ground to find and check them.
  • Landholders and operators in Zambia, such as farms, estates, conservancies and agribusinesses, who believe their land or operations could support a carbon project but do not know where to start.

What MRX does

We do not issue, validate or certify carbon credits. Methodologies, validation and verification belong to the carbon standards and their accredited bodies. Our role is to bring a project to that table in good shape, with the facts checked on the ground.

How it works

1. A first call

You tell us what you want to achieve. We tell you honestly whether we can help, and how we would approach it.

2. A defined scope

A written proposal with the deliverables and the timeline. Every mandate is scoped and quoted individually.

3. Work on the ground

Our people visit the sites, meet the landholders and the local stakeholders, and check the facts that desk research cannot.

4. Clear reporting

Findings, recommendations and next steps in writing. If you want us to stay involved through execution, we do.

Geography

Zambia first: our offices are in Lusaka and Ndola. We also take carbon mandates in other Sub-Saharan countries where our field operators work.
